November 30, 2020 - Area residents are invited to join an All In Allen Facebook Live discussion this Thursday at 6 p.m. to review issues and opportunities identified during the first phase of developing the community’s next comprehensive plan.
The Facebook Live is scheduled for Thursday, December 3, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on the City of Fort Wayne’s Facebook Page, @CityofFortWayne and Allen County’s Facebook Page, @AllenCounty. It will also be available for viewing on CityTV, which can be found on Comcast channel 58, Frontier channel 28, and online at .
Representatives from Houseal Lavigne Associates, the community planning consultants hired to update the community’s comprehensive plan, called All In Allen, will discuss findings outlined in their Issues and Opportunities report. The report presents:
- An overview of responses received during the community outreach phase, including 1,603 online surveys, 627 short postcard surveys, 164 business surveys and more than 1,000 conversations with individuals through online and in-person workshops.
- A review of current data to present a snapshot of current community conditions.

The next steps in the comprehensive planning process include defining the community’s shared vision and then developing a detailed roadmap to help achieve the vision.
All In Allen will be the community’s new comprehensive plan that establishes a long-term vision to be implemented over the next 10-20 years. The plan is a joint effort by Allen County, the City of Fort Wayne, and the adopting communities of Grabill, Huntertown, Monroeville and Woodburn.
